Video. Is it worth the investment to have a video created and include it in your digital marketing? The answer is yes

In almost every aspect of Digital Marketing, we have seen not only an increase in using video, but an increase in the interaction with digital ads created by businesses

According to SingleGrain

  • 70% of consumers say that they have shared a brand’s video.
  • 72% of businesses say video has improved their conversion rate.
  • 52% of consumers say that watching product videos makes them more confident in online purchase decisions.
  • 65% of executives visit the marketer’s website and 39% call a vendor after viewing a video

And that’s across all products. Take a look at Social Media. According to Facebook, more than 100 MILLION hours of video are watched on Facebook alone. In addition, people spend 5x more time looking at video on Facebook and Instagram

How can you use that to your advantage? With Facebook, you can utilize video advertising in many ways. For example, carousel ads give you the opportunity to have up to 10 videos within one ad unit, (you could also do a combo of display and video if you don’t have that many videos). The carousel ad would give you an opportunity to showcase all of your products and services, interviews, highlight testimonials and demo products. You can also have each of these videos link to a different page of your website correlating to the topic of that particular video. You can utilize video with Facebook’s Collection Ads, Event Response Ads, Job Posting Ads, Branded Content Ads, as well as video on Instagram

There are additional ways to incorporate video into your digital marketing efforts. Video Pre-roll (ads that run before the content you want to watch) can be used in the following ways

You can also use video with Mobile Conquesting. With the increase usage of mobile devices, this is a great way to reach your consumers on the go

As you start to plan your 2019 strategy, make sure video is a part of it. It’s a worthwhile investment that can help produce the results you may be looking for next year
