Digital Campaign Delivers High ROI
Background:
A pest control company offering removal and prevention services for ants, spiders, rodents, and other pests, wanted an“evergreen” creative strategy during their main season, so they focused on ants as the consistent message with the others rotating in and out monthly. The company invested heavily in SEM/PPC ads.
Strategy:
We utilized two different digital products (Display and Native) to reach their past customers, property managers, and homeowners in a 30-mile radius around their central service area. To reach their past customers we created a custom audience from their database by matching email addresses, physical addresses, and phone numbers to devices. To grow new customers, we executed a lookalike audience from their first party data, and layered in behavioral categories for homeowners, property managers, and offline purchasers of pesticides. Impressions were set up to run 300,000 onDisplay and 300,000 on Native. These were again split 50/50 between custom audience and lookalike targeting and behavioral targeting.
Results:
The campaign delivered over 600,000 impressions and resulted in 3,541 clicks, a CTR of 0.59% - over 8x the national average! This strategy delivered results and complimented their in-house placement of Google Ads where they reported higher conversions and a lower cost per click, as we reached their audience higher in the funnel.
