Let’s be real—job seekers today aren’t just scrolling through job sites hoping to stumble upon their dream job. Just like passive job seekers, they’re on social media, streaming videos, listening to podcasts, and casually swiping through content on their mobile devices

"Why is it so hard to find employees to come work for my company?"  "We’ve had these positions open for months."  "We can’t find the right people to fill this position

December is always the month where we reflect on the last 12 months and see how we grew and what we can do to move forward. Personally, I like to see what technology thinks of how I lived my last 12 months with things like Spotify’s “Wrapped”, and Instagram’s “Top 9”

I’m guessing the answer is yes? Have you noticed that Google has started featuring job listings in the organic section of the search engine results page when you put in keywords related to a job? For example, if you searched “digital media jobs Elmira NY” you could get a results page like this:The listings at the top aren’t paid search ads.  They are organic (free listings) that appear because those companies have added something called Job Posting Structured Data to their job listing on their website – a GREAT Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactic that you can do too!Finding qualified candidates is always a struggle

There is a clear benefit for the student and often, the opportunity yields a lot of busy work, a little actual work, and a line item on their resume

Besides political dollars, there are other opportunities to find digital dollars within the government.  This year, the biggest contributor of that is the US Census
