When a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults and children with disabilities set out to host a local masquerade ball, their mission extended beyond just throwing a party. They aimed to drive attendance, raise awareness for their cause, and create a memorable experience for high schoolers and their parents—all with free admission

Crafting a Targeted Strategy

To make this event a success, we developed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy focusing on local outreach. Utilizing a combination of Facebook News Feed ads, the Facebook Audience Network, and News Feed Retargeting, we created a static display ad that resonated with the community

Our targeting was precise, reaching individuals interested in charitable causes, disability awareness, and non-profit organizations. We even included specific interest categories related to disabilities, such as the National Down Syndrome Society, National Autism Association, and Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Additionally, since the event had an age minimum, we narrowed our audience to parents with teenagers aged 13-18. The campaign also featured retargeting strategies to engage users who had shown interest in the organization within the past 60 days

Impressive Results and Community Impact

The results were nothing short of remarkable. The ad campaign achieved an overall click-through rate (CTR) of 1.18%, more than 16 times the national average, with 44,421 impressions and 526 clicks. Engagement metrics were equally impressive, with 865 post engagements (actions like clicks to the site, profile, or call-to-action), over 115 post shares, and numerous reactions

The turnout for the masquerade ball exceeded expectations, so much so that the facility had to open an additional section to accommodate all the attendees. The client was thrilled with the turnout and the heightened awareness of their mission
