Buzzing Success: How a Local Pest Control Company Elevated Its Reach

In a quest to attract new customers, a local pest control company turned to Vici Media for a dynamic digital marketing strategy. Combining the power of online advertising with local radio, they aimed to showcase their expertise in pest removal and prevention.

  • Household Income: Top 25% of ZIP codes
  • Homeowners: Those likely to invest in home improvement
  • Pest-Specific Interests: Categories targeting issues like ants, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, and more

Additionally, we implemented a Social Mirror campaign to engage individuals already researching pest control products. This included targeting heavy purchasers of pest control brands and products.

Leveraging a carefully curated list of 484 keywords, we honed in on consumers actively searching for services like “pest inspection companies” and “professional pest control near me.” Our approach utilized AI and machine learning to continually refine targeting based on ad engagement.

Both campaigns included retargeting strategies aimed at users who had visited the client’s website within the past 60 days. Collaborating with a local radio station, we utilized its listener database to reach homeowners browsing online, employing Custom Audience Matching to further enhance our outreach.

Creative Execution

The campaign creatively mixed video and single image ads, ensuring that messaging was engaging and visually appealing. We also developed a Lookalike Audience to expand the reach of digital ads, targeting potential customers who mirrored the characteristics of our most engaged users.

Impressive Results

Over five months, the results were outstanding:

  • Click Through Rate: 0.71% (over 10 times the national average)
  • Impressions: 1,369,501
  • Clicks: 9,701
  • Post Engagements: 80,693 (including clicks on CTAs and site visits)
  • Post Reactions: 33
  • Click Conversions: 94
  • View-Through Conversions: 1,728

These metrics not only highlight the effectiveness of our targeted strategy but also showcase the pest control company’s growing online presence and engagement with potential customers.
