For nearly 60 years, a local family-owned jewelry store has built a reputation for specializing in engagement rings and fostering relationships that extend well beyond the sale. Known for their trustworthy, wholesome approach, this jeweler wanted to take their branding and awareness efforts to the next level using digital advertising

The Digital Strategy

To connect with potential customers in a meaningful way, the jeweler partnered with Vici Media to launch a dual-channel branding and awareness campaign featuring Social Mirror Ads and OTT (Over-the-Top) Ads. A single creative piece was used across both platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and a seamless customer experience

  • OTT Ads: These full-screen ads appeared on Connected TVs (CTV), the most premium inventory available in OTT advertising.
  • Social Mirror Ads: These ran across thousands of websites on mobile, desktop, and tablet, amplifying the campaign’s reach.
  • Behavioral Targeting: The ads were strategically shown to people who placed themselves in categories such as

    • Intend to Buy Diamond Jewelry
    • Engagement Ring Shoppers
    • Luxury Goods Shoppers
    • Jewelry Buyers

To make the campaign even more interactive, the jeweler incorporated a custom QR code into their OTT ads. When viewers saw the ad on their TV, they could scan the QR code with their phone, taking them directly to the jeweler’s website

Results That Sparkled

This campaign proved to be a major success

  • High Completion Rates: Of the 27,055 full-screen OTT ads, 97% were watched 100% of the way through, indicating strong viewer engagement.
  • Above-Average QR Code Engagement: QR codes in OTT ads typically receive 1-10 scans per month, but this jeweler saw an impressive 89 scans in just the first month!
