For locally-owned businesses, attracting the right in-store traffic is essential to growth. A hair and beauty supply store recently sought to bring in more foot traffic from a specific audience—females, fashion enthusiasts, and beauty product lovers. Digital Strategy: Mobile Conquesting to Drive Engagement and Visits

To reach the store’s target audience, Vici Media launched a comprehensive Mobile Conquesting campaign in May 2021. Our approach used both Online and Offline Behavioral Targeting to connect with potential customers based on their interests, demographics, and real-time location.

  • Online Behavioral Targeting: We served ads to African American females, fashion shoppers, and people interested in beauty and makeup products, ensuring that the messaging resonated with their interests.
  • Offline Behavioral Targeting: By leveraging mobile location data, we specifically targeted users who had recently visited beauty salons, beauty schools, day spas, Sally Beauty Supply, and Ulta Beauty, drawing in people already in the market for beauty products.
  • Geo-Fencing and Geo-Retargeting: To capture competitor foot traffic, we used Geo-Fencing to serve ads to customers visiting competitor locations in real time. Once they left these locations, Geo-Retargeting ensured they continued to see our client’s ad, increasing ad frequency and reinforcing brand visibility.


Results: A Noticeable Boost in Sales and New Customers

The results of this campaign were clear and immediate:

  • The client reported a significant increase in sales, especially among new customers, indicating that the campaign effectively reached new audiences.
  • The campaign generated 209 raw visits to the store, with over 830 estimated visits attributed to our digital efforts.


This campaign demonstrated the impact of precision targeting through Mobile Conquesting. By reaching beauty enthusiasts right where they shop and browse, we were able to increase the store’s foot traffic and brand visibility in a highly competitive market.
