When an established credit union set its sights on expanding into a new area without a physical branch, they faced a challenge: introducing their brand to potential members who weren’t familiar with their name. To establish credibility and drive growth in savings and checking accounts, CDs, and auto loans, the credit union collaborated with Vici Media on a campaign built to make a lasting impression
To connect with prospective members in the target counties, Vici Media began the campaign with Display ads to increase brand recognition. As the campaign gained traction, Video Pre-Roll ads were added in the Fall to further boost engagement and provide a dynamic introduction to the credit union’s offerings
For Display ads, we deployed a mix of Retargeting, Keyword Targeting, and Behavioral Targeting, designed to reach users interested in online banking, mobile banking, checking accounts, and auto and vehicle loans. The Video Pre-Roll ads also incorporated Retargeting, Artificial Intelligence, and Behavioral Targeting, reinforcing the brand message to relevant audiences and building familiarity with the credit union
After ten months, the results demonstrated the campaign’s impact. There were 237 click conversions and nearly 12,000 view-throughs, including 255 visits to the Vehicle Loans page, 82 to Checking Accounts, and 11 to Savings Accounts. Additionally, the client reported an uptick in CDs and 47 new accounts from the counties targeted by the campaign
Through this strategically layered approach, the credit union was able to establish a presence in a new market, drive new member accounts, and build lasting relationships with potential members
