A local credit union with seven branches found itself facing a demographic challenge—its current membership was aging, and the organization needed a way to connect with a younger audience. To stay competitive and build brand awareness among a new generation of members, the credit union partnered with Vici Media to create a cutting-edge digital marketing strategy.The Strategy: Reaching a Younger Audience Through Digital ChannelsVici Media developed a comprehensive digital strategy designed to highlight the credit union’s offerings, including checking and savings accounts, credit builder programs, mortgage loans, and personal loan programs. The goal was to capture the attention of younger consumers actively seeking financial services.We used a variety of high-impact digital tools to reach the target audience:

  • Amazon Targeting with Video & OTT: Delivering video ads through Amazon’s premium network allowed us to reach financially-savvy consumers across platforms.
  • Online Audio Ads: These ads were designed to engage users while they listened to streaming music or podcasts.
  • Social Mirror OTT and TikTok Ads: To tap into younger demographics, we also utilized TikTok, a key platform for engaging Gen Z and Millennials, as well as Social Mirror OTT for mirroring the ads on other popular digital spaces.

The Results: A Boost in Engagement and Membership

Running from April 1st through August 31st, the campaign yielded impressive results:

  • We delivered 1,036,279 video/OTT and online audio ads to highly targeted audiences, focusing on those interested in banking services, financial services, credit cards, and both good and poor credit scores.
  • The Amazon Video blend and TikTok ads achieved strong click-through rates, ranging from 1.72% to 2.26%.
  • For Online Audio and Social Mirror OTT ads, we tracked over 2,000 verified onsite visits across the credit union’s locations.
