For colleges and universities, increasing enrollment in specialized programs can be a challenge, especially when those programs are geared toward working professionals. One local College of Nursing & Health Sciences, a division of a regional hospital, faced this challenge as they sought to promote their RN to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) programs. With no prior experience in digital marketing, they partnered with Vici Media to reach a wider audience and attract more students

Digital Strategy: Targeting Aspiring Nurses

To help the college reach their enrollment goals, we developed a targeted display campaign that ran across social media platforms. The campaign targeted adults aged 22-55 with interests in nursing career paths such as Bachelor of Science in Nursing, ER Nurse, Master of Science Nursing, Pediatric Nurse, and RN Nursing. The ads were designed to capture the attention of young medical professionals looking to advance their careers

The creative focused on the benefits of the programs, using compelling visuals in carousel ads to showcase the opportunities available to those seeking higher education in nursing. With this approach, we maximized the chances of reaching prospective students who were most likely to convert into applicants

Results: Year-over-Year Growth in Enrollment

The results of this digital campaign were immediately clear. Prior to launching the campaign, the College of Nursing had only 1 student enrolled in their RN-BSN program and 3 students in their MSN program. After just one year, those numbers jumped to 4 students in the RN-BSN program, 6 in the MSN program, and 11 additional students in the application process

The success of the campaign continued to grow over time. This client has now been advertising with Vici Media for three years, and their digital strategy has evolved to include Display Ads and Live Chat. The college has increased its marketing spend by over $38,000 in the past 10 months due to the campaign's continued success. Notably, the addition of Live Chat has been a game-changer, yielding 18 recruitment leads in just three months
