The primary goal was to connect with homeowners facing pest problems and encourage them to take action. To achieve this, we implemented a Facebook/Instagram Premium campaign, targeting specific categories such as Household Income: top 25% of ZIP codes, Pesticide Application, Home Improvement, and Homeowners. We also drilled down into the types of pests the company protects against, targeting interests in Ants, Cockroaches, Fleas, Ticks, Mice, Rats, Spiders, Termites, Snails, and Mosquitoes.
In addition to the social media campaign, we launched a Social Mirror campaign. This involved reaching individuals interested in pest control products through categories like Pest Control - Insect Repellent Product Buyers and Heavy Purchaser - Pest Control. By leveraging a robust list of 484 targeted keywords, such as “pest inspection companies” and “professional pest control near me,” we effectively directed consumers towards the company's services
Using advanced AI and machine learning, we fine-tuned our targeting based on who was engaging with the ads. Both campaigns included retargeting for individuals who visited the client's website within the last 60 days, ensuring we remained top-of-mind for potential customers. Collaborating with a local radio station, we also utilized their listener database, employing Custom Audience Matching to reach homeowners while they browsed online. The creative approach involved a mix of video and single image ads that captured attention and conveyed the client’s message
The results of the campaign were impressive. Over five months, the client achieved a click-through rate (CTR) of 0.71%, which is more than ten times the national average. The campaign generated 1,369,501 impressions and 9,701 clicks
Engagement was robust, with 80,693 post engagements (including clicks on calls-to-action, profile visits, and site clicks) and 33 post reactions (likes and emojis). The campaign also delivered 94 click conversions and 1,728 view-through conversions, driving significant interest and engagement
The local pest control company saw a marked increase in customer inquiries, proving that with the right marketing strategy, even the most persistent pests can be kept at bay
