Boosting Seasonal Recruitment: How a Central California Processing Facility Attracted Workers with Targeted Digital Marketing

As the summer harvest season approaches, a central California processing facility faced the urgent need to recruit seasonal workers for various positions, including forklift operators, sorters, and bin fillers. To tackle this challenge, they turned to Vici Media for a strategic digital marketing solution.

A Tailored Strategy for Seasonal Hiring

To effectively reach potential seasonal employees, we crafted a comprehensive campaign utilizing both Facebook Display Carousel ads and engaging Facebook Video ads. These ads showcased images of the available positions, complete with headlines and text in Spanish to resonate with the target audience.

Our targeting strategy focused on individuals interested in “Job Hunting and Employment,” as well as truck drivers who had their browsers set to Spanish. We also incorporated retargeting to re-engage users who previously interacted with the ads. The campaign was designed to appear across multiple platforms, including the Newsfeed, Facebook Audience Network, Messenger, Instant Articles, and Marketplace, ensuring maximum visibility.

Impressive Results That Speak Volumes

The first phase of the campaign yielded outstanding results, serving 366,613 impressions and generating 2,937 clicks, resulting in a click-through rate (CTR) of 0.80%. The engagement was significant, with 9,647 post engagements, 150 reactions, and close to 60 shares.

Buoyed by the initial success, the client renewed the campaign for the following season. This time, the results soared even higher, with 365,234 impressions generating a staggering 25,587 clicks and an impressive 7.01% CTR—an astonishing 100.08 times the national average. The second season also saw heightened engagement, with 77,967 post engagements, 782 reactions, and 237 shares, showcasing the effectiveness of the campaign.
