How a Regional Ski Resort Boosted Bookings with Precision Digital Marketing

Crafting a Strategy for High-Impact Engagement

To maximize reach and impact, our first step was to define the ideal customer. Together with the ski resort, we identified not only who their customer was but also how, when, and why they turned to the internet for ski-related information. From weather conditions to current mountain status, avid skiers regularly searched for up-to-date details—making this the perfect window of opportunity for online engagement

The 16-week campaign kicked off with targeted Display Ads. Using geo-targeting, we homed in on each of the eight markets across the four-state radius, ensuring that ads only reached the most relevant audience. Retargeting also played a major role in capturing potential customers and encouraging those who had shown interest to come back to the site. With a Black Friday/Cyber Monday special, the campaign’s customized landing page incentivized visitors to leave their email information for future promotions. Each lead received a “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” voucher, giving them an extra reason to visit the slopes

Outstanding Results in Reach and Revenue

The results of this seasonal campaign were nothing short of impressive. The digital ads drove an incredible $30K in online revenue, with a click-through rate of 0.18%—well above industry averages for display ads. Retargeting, one of the campaign’s core strategies, achieved a rate of 0.56%, nine times the national average. With an impressive daily reach of over 1,100 people, the campaign proved that combining high-impact geo-targeting, retargeting, and special offers can deliver significant returns for seasonal, regional businesses
