When a local funeral home sought to reach neighboring families and individuals in need of funeral arrangements, they were looking for a sensitive, respectful way to communicate their services. With a desire to build meaningful connections in their community, they turned to Vici Media to help create a digital strategy that would resonate with their audience

A Thoughtful and Targeted Approach

To generate awareness and reach the right audience, Vici Media designed a campaign utilizing Facebook Premium, Video Pre-Roll, and OTT (Over-the-Top) ads. By keeping the geographic focus small, with a 40-mile radius around each location, the funeral home could super-serve their surrounding community. The campaign targeted key demographics, including Baby Boomers, individuals interested in nursing home care, retirement planning, and estate planning

In line with the funeral home’s needs, we helped craft heartfelt video ads that conveyed their message with compassion and respect. The creative was updated every 3-6 months to keep the content fresh, ensuring that their branding remained relevant and relatable to their audience

Impressive Engagement and Community Feedback

The results were outstanding. On average, the funeral home’s campaign achieved a click-through rate (CTR) of 1.2% or better each month—well above industry standards. One star of the campaign, the funeral home’s therapy grief dog, Ragnar, became a community favorite and consistently boosted engagement, helping to build a deeper connection with local families

Since the start of the campaign, the funeral home has served over 3 million impressions, and they continue to receive positive feedback from the community. The success of this strategy is reflected in their continued partnership with Vici Media, now on their fourth annual contract with no plans to stop anytime soon
