When a stand-up comedian set out to promote ticket sales for an upcoming tour, they knew they needed a marketing strategy as entertaining as their act. Infusing political humor and ventriloquism into their shows, the comedian aimed to engage fans and capitalize on current events. Strategy: Reaching the Right Audience

The primary goal was clear: attract fans of conservative comedy and drive ticket sales. To achieve this, we implemented a blend of Facebook/Instagram Premium and Facebook Event Response campaigns tailored specifically for this audience. We used targeting categories such as Stand-up Comedy, Sketch Comedy, and Politics and Social Issues to connect with potential attendees

To further enhance engagement, we reached out to fans of similar comedians like Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White. Our creative approach employed dynamic video ads, showcasing snippets of the comedian’s performances and engaging content that resonated with their audience

In addition to social media, we executed a Display campaign focused on politically-minded individuals. Targeting categories included Politically Conservative, Conservative News Consumers, and even specific behaviors such as visiting FoxNews.com within the last 30 days. We also targeted those who have shown interest in comedy, using categories like Stand-up Comedy Event Researchers and Comedy Standup - Heavy Viewers

Results: A Stand-Up Success

The results of the campaign were phenomenal. In just one month, the comedian achieved a click-through rate (CTR) of 4.21%, an astounding 60 times the national average. The campaign generated 129,032 impressions and 5,432 clicks

Engagement metrics were equally impressive, with 30,454 post engagements (including clicks on calls-to-action, profile visits, and site clicks), 462 post reactions, 113 shares, and 451 event responses. The client was thrilled with the outcome, stating, “We are excited that the tour has received amazing results, and our clients are ecstatic with the ticket sales we deliver.
