Elevating Nursing Enrollment: A Success Story in Educational Marketing

In the competitive landscape of higher education, standing out is crucial—especially for institutions like a local college known for its rigorous standards and legacy as one of the first accredited nursing schools in the nation. Recently, this college sought to boost enrollment in its nursing programs and reach the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The Challenge

With a focus on high school students, their parents, and college transfer students interested in nursing, the college needed a strategic approach to effectively engage these diverse audiences. The goal was clear: to highlight the benefits of their nursing programs and encourage prospective students to apply.

The Strategy

To achieve this, we implemented a robust digital marketing campaign targeting high school students aged 16 and older, along with their parents and potential college transfer students. Our strategy leveraged a mix of digital products, including Social Media, Social Mirror Ads, Online Audio, and Live Chat.

Targeting techniques included Keyword Targeting, Behavioral Targeting, Artificial Intelligence, and Website Retargeting, ensuring that the right messages reached the right people at the right time. This multi-channel approach was designed to create a seamless experience for prospective students, guiding them from initial interest to enrollment.

The Results

The results were impressive. Within just three months, the campaign delivered over 700,000 impressions and achieved a click-through rate of 1.76%, an astounding 25 times the national average. Engagement was equally strong, with a rate of 1.77%.

The campaign also generated 335 click conversions and 91 view-throughs, while facilitating 605 live chat conversations. Most notably, the college reported a 15% increase in overall enrollment. Specific nursing programs saw even greater success: the RN-BSN program, offered entirely online, experienced a 59% increase, and the MSN program also online, achieved a 57% increase.

Buoyed by these results, the college has continued its advertising efforts throughout the year using the same digital strategies and recently incorporated Mobile Conquesting to further enhance their reach.

Conclusion

This success story highlights the effectiveness of a comprehensive digital marketing strategy in the education sector. By understanding their target audience and utilizing a mix of innovative tools, the college was able to successfully attract and enroll the next generation of nursing professionals.
