A local credit union with seven locations had a common challenge: attracting a younger audience to help ensure a vibrant, growing membership base. Recognizing that their current members were aging, the credit union aimed to expand its reach among younger individuals by highlighting the benefits of membership, including checking and savings accounts, credit builder programs, mortgage loans, and personal loan services. To effectively reach younger consumers, Vici Media developed a multi-channel approach utilizing a range of platforms popular with younger demographics. Our campaign included video and audio content that spotlighted the benefits of credit union membership. By using Amazon Targeting with Video & OTT placement, Online Audio, Social Mirror OTT, and TikTok, we created a comprehensive strategy to capture attention across multiple touchpoints

With Amazon Targeting and TikTok ads, we focused on those interested in banking and financial services, as well as users with good and poor credit scores—ensuring we reached potential members with varied financial needs. By rotating ads across these platforms, we kept the messaging fresh and tailored to the audience, effectively showcasing the credit union’s offerings to those most likely to benefit from them

Results: Boosted Web Traffic, New Accounts, and Increased Engagement

Running from April through August, the campaign yielded impressive results. In total, we delivered over 1 million video, OTT, and audio ads to the target audience, achieving a remarkable click-through rate of 1.72% to 2.26% on Amazon Video and TikTok. Online Audio and Social Mirror OTT ads were also highly effective, driving over 2,000 verified onsite visits across credit union locations

The impact was clear: the credit union reported that their website traffic tripled over the course of the campaign, accompanied by a significant increase in new account openings and loan applications. By targeting the right audience with tailored messaging, we helped the credit union connect with younger demographics and position themselves as a trusted financial partner for a new generation
